The George Nelson Turbine clock, originally available back in 1957, is now back in production by Kirch & Co. The name is obviously no coincidence, with that 'turbine' look making it a real eye-catcher. There's also an aluminum center and some distinctly individual hands, with the clock powered by high-grade quartz workings. The wall clock uses the original models but uses different material aluminum. Not only the dimensions of the clock and its hands, but also the way it has been constructed, finish and color are true to Nelson original designs. Uses 1 AA battery (not included).

George Nelson was a famous furniture and home decor designer in the 1960's. He had a 50-year career in which he said his inspiration came from out-of-the-blue "zaps." These "zaps he said connected an individual to a reality that he never dreamed of. Today his clocks are still in reproduction to ensure that his legacy lives, and so everyone can enjoy the beauty of his work.
